It's a shame how the game turned out, since I feel they really improved the core mechanics of shooting, TK, etc compared to the original. I haven't played the game since release, I remember having even more issues with it back then. I also wasn't much of a fan of the Uncharted-type shitty set pieces. ![]() That would be fine and dandy if you didn't have to wait for the fucking doors to load the next area and you're just stuck there waiting for it to open while a dozen necromorphs are gang banging you. I guess the game designers expect you to escape without a fight. I also remember the last couple of chapters in the game where they throw so many enemies that you couldn't possibly kill them all. Many times I have no idea what's damaging me in a heated situation, and after the dust settles a bit, it turns out that it was an asshole necromorph spewing projectiles from an elevated section of the area I'm in. The scenarios they came up with were also infuriating in general. There was an insane amount of those mutated black skinned enemies which are not only much faster and deal extra damage, they are also complete bullet sponges. Fighting enemies in DS2 was just a miserable experience. I'm mostly referring to enemy encounter design. ![]()
